Bible Study & Prayer
Weekly Bible Study is held on Thursdays. The sessions begin with 30-minutes of Prayer at 6:30 p.m. and Bible Study @ 7:00 p.m. The topics for the study will vary and they are taught by our Pastor or one of our other leaders. These weekly sessions provide a tremendous opportunity for you to grow spiritually and to increase your knowledge of the Bible.
The Deacons are men who have been ordained by the pastor to assist in the nurture and care of the membership.
Discipleship Training and Small Group
Nothing is more important to the life of a believer than learning how to grow consistently in his/her faith and mature in Christ. Special topic classes with readings and specific schedules are offered throughout the year. A posting of the upcoming list will be forthcoming on the site.
We are a local site for Dave Ramsey classes, and we offer classes throughout the year and during special times to assist families with issues related to how to handle money. Here you will meet individuals and families of all ages who are seeking to become good stewards of their money. Our goal is to assist all participants in how to budget, invest, save money, increase their net worth and build cash value.
U-Next: The Millennials
U-Next serves as the bridge in the life of UOC to connect Millennial members and their friends with opportunities for fellowship, fun, and growth in their faith. They work closely with the Sub-40s and with the Youth Department in order to keep all the connection between all of our youth and young adults. U-Next members are serving and leading in several areas of ministry, including music, guest services, Audio & Visual, Youth and more.
Marriage Enrichment Gathering (MEG)
The MEG is a group that is designed to promote our pastor’s vision to encourage, strengthen, and give wholesome guidance to married couples and families. Activities and outings are held at various times during the month and in different locations.
Men’s Empowerment, Fellowship & Service (MEFS)
MEFS is the umbrella group for our men’s ministries and activities. Just as “Iron Sharpens Iron,” good men can help other men to be their best; challenging them to “give back” to the community through our many community service activities, and through mentorship of community children. Activities are held throughout the month. Our UOC men work together with other groups in our church to coordinate special outreach activities with community children and families.
Music, Dance & Arts Ministry
This ministry encompasses all aspects of the church's music ministry, including the band, the praise and worship teams, the choirs, music programs, etc. This department includes Praise Dancing, Flag Ministry and other artistic expressions of praise and worship. Special arts and dance presentations are made during varying seasons of the year.
A group of persons who commit themselves to daily intercessory prayer for others and who join the pastor, other leaders and members in weekly prayer times for corporate prayer. They also participate in other prayer gatherings with other churches and groups.
Our SS meets weekly @ 9:00 a.m. It offers classes, activities and/or care for all ages. The mission of the SS is to assist all believers in growing spiritually through the study of the Bible and participation in other enrichment activities. Classes follow particular themes and take you through a study of the entire Bible. We also offer special topic classes at particular times of the year.
Sub-40 is a ministry for people between the ages 29-39.
Our Purpose: to gain insight and knowledge on being relevant and effective in this day and age, as it concerns the Kingdom of God, and to fellowship with one another as we continue our growth in the Lord.
Activities: fellowship, weekly prayer sessions, classes, trips, leadership in worship, volunteering, and outreach.
The women's ministries of our church provide opportunities for women to worship, fellowship, study the Bible, and engage in other ministry activities. Enrichment activities are scheduled throughout the month and are posted on our monthly calendar.
All women are encouraged to participate and the events are designed to reach women in all stages and phases of their lives.
Married, single, professional, stay-at-home moms, grandmothers, college students, single parents, we welcome all women.
